Sedan - Ray H. Roadenbaugh, age 77, of Cedar Vale, Kansas passed away Thursday, November 29, 2007 at his home in Cedar Vale, Kansas. He was born October 8, 1930 in Chase, Kansas to Henry A. and Harriett (Cowans) Roadenbaugh. He attended schools in Newton and Wichita, Kansas. He married Eva Voightlander in 1967 in Arkansas City, Kansas then moved to Cedar Vale, Kansas where they made their home. They later divorced. He worked in the oil fields as a pumper and a driller for Olympic Oil Company out of Oklahoma. He also worked at the rock quarry for McAdams Limestone, in Cedar Vale, Kansas, retiring in 1992. He was a member of the Sunflower Masonic Lodge of Wichita, Kansas. He loved drinking coffee at the coffee shop and spending time with his grandchildren. He is survived by one son, Danny Roadenbaugh of Mulvane, Kansas; one daughter, Janet Arnetz of Cedar Vale, Kansas; one sister, Ruby Morrison of Newton, Kansas and four grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, one daughter Jennifer Kennedy and six brothers and sisters. Friends may call from 12:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., Sunday, December 2, 2007 at the David W. Barnes Funeral Home in Sedan, Kansas. Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, December 3, 2007 at the Cedar Vale Cemetery in Cedar Vale, Kansas. The family has suggested memorial contributions to the American Cancer Society and Hospice Care of Kansas and these remembrances may be left in care of David W. Barnes Funeral Home, 209 N. Douglas Street, Sedan, Kansas 67361.
