Coffeyville - Maxine Elizabeth Waggoner, 90, of Coffeyville passed away Thursday morning, February 5, 2009 at Windsor Place in Coffeyville. She was born December 19, 1918 in Coffeyville to J.A. and Emma (Butcher) Miller. She grew up and attended school in Coffeyville graduating from Coffeyville Junior College. She married George Waggoner. He preceded her in death in 1961. In the early 1960's she purchased Lee's Truck Stop in Coffeyville operating it until she retired in the 1980's. Maxine was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star. Survivors include one granddaughter, Karen Shufeldt and husband Rodger of Coffeyville; and one great-granddaughter, Torrie Shufeldt of Coffeyville. She was preceded in death by her husband, one daughter, Mary Ann Waggoner, one son John Waggoner, one daughter-in-law Linda Waggoner, and one grandson, Daren Waggoner. Graveside services will be at 1:00 p.m. Monday, February 9, 2009 in Fairview Cemetery with Rev. Gerald Morris officiating. Friends may call on Sunday from 12:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. and Monday from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the David W. Barnes Funeral Home in Coffeyville. David W. Barnes Funeral Home in Coffeyville.
