Obituary of Virginia M. Marshall

Sedan - Virginia M. Marshall, age 87, of Peru, Kansas passed away Thursday, January 8, 2009 at the Wesley Medical Center in Wichita, Kansas. She was born June 10, 1921 in Spearville, Kansas to Edward Paul and Rose Josephine (King) Herlock. She attended and graduated from the Cedar Vale area. She was a licensed practical nurse. She later moved to Littleton, Colorado and was the lead custodian for 19 years at the Littleton Public Schools in Littleton, Colorado before retiring in 1993. In 1993 she moved to Peru, Kansas and lived there for the past 16 years. She attended God's Lighthouse of Prayer in Peru, Kansas. She enjoyed keeping her house and enjoyed people. She is survived by two sons; Paul Marshall of Peru, Kansas and E. Maurice Marshall of Independence, Kansas and two grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother. Family and Friends may call Tuesday, January 13, 2009 from 9:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. at the David W. Barnes Funeral Home in Sedan, Kansas. Graveside Services will be held on Wednesday, January 14, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. at the Peru Cemetery in Peru, Kansas with Clayton Wilson and Pastor Carlos Bailey officiating.
