Obituary of Billie Jo Fox

Coffeyville - Billie Jo Fox, 71, of Coffeyville, passed away Wednesday, January 07, 2009, at Coffeyville Regional Medical Center. She was born January 14, 1937 at Coffeyville to Howard L. and Dollie Marie (Moore) Bruce. She grew up and attended school in Coffeyville. In February 1952 she married Elbert Wesley Frye, together they had two sons. They were later divorced. In October 1954 she married Scott H. Fox, they had one son. She worked at Emerson Electric in Independence until she retired after 20 years of service. She joined the First Southern Baptist Church in Caney many years ago. Survivors include one son, Lex Fox and his wife Alishia of Springfield, MO; one daughter-in-law, Janice Frye of South Coffeyville, OK; one sister, Betty J. Akins of California; seven grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, one son, Richard Frye, one infant son, Larry Frye; two brothers and one sister. Services will be at 2:00 p.m. Friday, January 9, 2009 at the First Baptist Church in South Coffeyville, OK, with Rev. Lex Fox officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery in Coffeyville. Friends may call on Thursday from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. and Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the David W. Barnes Funeral Home in Coffeyville.
