Naomi Corey, age 85, of Everett, Washington, former longtime Coffeyville resident, passed away Saturday, January 3, 2009 at the Critical Care Unit in Everett, Washington.
She was born May 9, 1923 in Lost Springs, Kansas to Joseph S. and Lily May (Taylor) Spangler. She married Carl Truman Corey on December 6, 1944 in Kansas City, Kansas.
She was a homemaker who enjoyed spending time with her family.
Survivors include her daughter-in-law, Lou Ann Corey; grandchildren Kiernan M. Corey and Alexandra C. Stewart, both of Waynesboro, Virginia, Veronica M. Corey of Richmond, Virginia, Loucinda C. Pickering of Staunton, Virginia, Brendon Corey, stationed in Iraq, Annunciata M. Corey of Waynesboro, Virginia; great-grandchildren Nicholas Corey and Gunnar Stewart, both of Waynesboro, Virginia, and Matthew Pickering of Staunton, Virginia and a special friend Marilyn Reese of Coffeyville, Kansas.
Graveside memorial services will be at 3:30 p.m. Thursday, February 12, 2009 at Restlawn Memorial Park Cemetery in Coffeyville, Kansas. Cremation has taken place.
