Vera Irene (Smith) Huff, 80, of South Coffeyville, OK, left this earth on Thursday (Jan. 1, 2009) to be with her loved ones in heaven.
She was born December 18, 1928 in rural Nowata County to James E. and Ollie (Walker) Smith.
On March 13, 1948, she married John Riley Huff at Bartlesville, OK, and they made their home in South Coffeyville, OK.
She is survived by her husband John Huff of South Coffeyville, OK. One brother Ernest Smith of Pittsburg, KS.
Her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren are:
Steve (preceded her in death) and Deane (Mullins) Huff, Angela (Huff) and Mike Finney with Stephen and Shaelea; Kristi (Huff) and Nick Gray with Lindsey and Alexia, Stepha Huff.
Shirley (Huff) and Jackie Lowrey, Jr. Amey (Lowrey) and Joey Brooks with Kelea, MacKensie, and Paige; Alicia (Lowrey with Sadie, Emily, and Madison; Dayna (Lowrey) and Ken Vest with Kendall and Reagan.
Roger and Tammy (Bray) with Riley, Josh, Stevie Jean, and Angel.
She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Ollie, her son, Steve Huff, eight brothers, Edward, Edwin, Jess, Howard, Walter, Lester, Alvin and Irvin; and three sisters, Alice, Opal, and Alphie.
Vera was an incredible person. She loved to laugh and spend time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Nothing brought her more joy than being with her family. She will be greatly missed by many, but will forever be in our hearts.
A Memorial Service to celebrate her life will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, January 5, at the Southview Church of God in South Coffeyville.
