Obituary of Neva P. Clayton

Sedan - Neva P. Clayton, age 87, of Sedan, Kansas passed away early Tuesday morning, June 3, 2008 at the Pleasant Valley Manor Nursing Home in Sedan, Kansas. She was born January 1, 1921 in Chautauqua, Kansas to John V. and Gertrude (Sheridan) Clayton. She attended Chautauqua Grade School and lived in the Chautauqua area all of her life. In 1981, she moved into the Pleasant Valley Manor Nursing Home in Sedan where she resided until her death. She enjoyed bible study, musicals, bingo, and all of the activities that she participated in at Pleasant Valley Manor. She is survived by a numerous nieces and nephews, and a special friend Clydean Littrell of Chautauqua, Kansas. She was preceded in death by her parents and four brothers and one sister Treva Mae Huckstep. Friends may sign the register book from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday at the David W. Barnes Funeral Home in Sedan, Kansas. Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held at the Pleasant Valley Manor Nursing Home at 2:30 p.m., Thursday, June 12, 2008 in Sedan, Kansas with Earl Tresner and Hospice Chaplain Mike Graham officiating. A private family inurnment will be held at a later date.
