Obituary of Terrence O'Donnell

Coffeyville - Terrence "Terry" O'Donnell, 60, of Coffeyville, passed away Saturday, December 27, 2008 at his home. He was born July 14, 1948 at Pratt, KS to Gerald Francis and Rita Marie (Stegman) O'Donnell. He grew up and began his education at Pratt until moving to Waukarusa, KS where he completed elementary school before attending and graduating from Washburn Rural High School in Topeka. In 1965 he married Billie Ruth Upshaw, together they raised seven children. They were later divorced. Terry was a carpenter and lived with his family in several communities returning to Coffeyville in 1989. He was a member of the First United Pentecostal Church. In his spare time he enjoyed spending time with his children, and grandchildren, hunting, fishing, woodworking and playing the guitar. Survivors include four daughters, Michele Gibson of Fairfax, OK, Tara Victory of South Coffeyville, Danielle O'Donnell of Independence, Leah O'Donnell of Coffeyville, one son, Caleb O'Donnell of Coffeyville; one brother, Jerry Pat O'Donnell of Scranton, KS; his step-father, Jerry Miller of Topeka, and 11 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, and two sons, Gary O'Donnell and John Paul O'Donnell. Services will be at 1:00 Tuesday, December 30, 2008 at the First Baptist Church in Coffeyville with Pastor Dan Keel officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery in Coffeyville. Friends may call on Monday until 9:00 p.m. at the David W. Barnes Funeral Home in Coffeyville.
