Coffeyville - Lester Dale Vaughn, Sr., 69, was born from a union of Alva and Amy (Miller) Vaughn, on December 10, 1938, went to be with his Lord and Savior in Heaven December 8, 2008 after a lengthy illness. He will be sadly missed by his loving wife Ruby of 50 years and his loving children, Leasa Garoutte of Liberty, KS, Allen Vaughn of Blair, NE, and Kristine Vaughn of Ellisville, MS, and his loving ten grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Lester was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him. He knew no stranger. He has two surviving brothers, Eugene of Colorado, and Ernest of Coffeyville, and one sister, Nona Extien of Arizona. He retired from Funk John Deere after 32 years of service. He was of the Penticostal faith. He was preceded in death by a son, a daughter, his parents, four brothers, and two sisters. Services will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday in the Liberty Untied Methodist Church at Liberty, KS. Burial will follow in the Liberty Cemetery. Friends may call on Thursday from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. and Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the David W. Barnes Funeral Home in Coffeyville. The family will receive friends on Friday from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
