Phillip Leo Pringle, 60, of South Coffeyville, OK passed away Saturday, November 29, 2008 at his home.
He was born November 19, 1948 at Independence, KS to Ralph and Leona (Shepard) Pringle. He grew up in the Coffeyville and South Coffeyville area where he attended graduating from Field Kindley High School and Coffeyville Community College.
He was a machinist at Funk Mfg. Co. now John Deere in Coffeyville for 35 years retiring in 2005.
He attended the Methodist Church, and was a member of the American Legion, and VFW. In his spare time he enjoyed woodworking, hunting, fishing and loved to play pool.
Survivors include two sisters, Mary Ellen Sikes and husband John of Locust Grove, OK, and Gerry George and husband Ron of Coffeyville; two brothers, Gerald Pringle and wife Nina of Edna, and Fredrick J. Pringle and wife Sandra of Mobile, AL; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ralph and Leona Pringle, step-father, Wesley Reeves; one brother, Quincey Pringle; and two sisters, Dixie Pringle and Dorothy Frazier.
Services will be at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 3, 2008 in the First Baptist Church in Coffeyville with Dr. Wayne Norton and Rev. Gerald Pringle officiating. Burial will be in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery near Dennis, KS.
Friends may call on Tuesday from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. and Wednesday from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the David W. Barnes Funeral Home in Coffeyville.
