Coffeyville - Anna Lou Norris, 76, of Coffeyville passed away Thursday, November 20, 2008 at Coffeyville Regional Medical Center. She was born March 28, 1932 at Moody, Missouri to Raymond and Orpha (Easley) Hall. When she was young the family moved to Labette County where she completed her education graduating from Labette County High School in 1950. After graduating from High School she moved to Coffeyville where she was employed at Funk Mfg. and Co-op Refinery On January 23, 1955 she married David Norris at the Pleasant Valley Church in Noxie, Oklahoma. Following their marriage they made their home in Coffeyville where Anna was a homemaker, and active in PTA at McKinley and Garfield schools where her children attended. After her children grew up she was Secretary at First Southern Baptist Church for 18 years. Anna was a active member of the First Southern Baptist Church. Survivors include her husband, David Norris of the home; one daughter, Gayle Avery and husband Pastor Mike of Hawarden, Iowa; two sons, Greg Norris of Gladstone, Missouri, and Geoff Norris and wife Tracy of South Coffeyville, OK; two sisters, Alice Endicott of Gladstone, Missouri, and Ethel Mae Hoffman of Republic, Missouri; one brother, Jack Hall of Checota, Oklahoma; three grandchildren, Chris Avery, Angie Monahan, and Nicholas Norris; and three great-grandchildren, Emma Avery, James Monahan, and Samantha Monahan. She was preceded in death by her parents, an infant grandson, and two brothers, David Hall and Donald Hall A Memorial Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, November 25, 2008 in the First Southern Baptist Church with Pastor Steve Heslip officiating. Cremation has taken place. Friends may sign the register book on Sunday from 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. and Monday from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the David W. Barnes Funeral Home in Coffeyville. The family suggests memorials to the National Kidney Foundation; contributions may be left with the funeral home or mailed c/o David W. Barnes Funeral Home, 306 North Cline, Coffeyville, KS 67337.
