Coffeyville - Naomi Z. Littrell, 91, of Coffeyville passed away Tuesday, October 14, 2008 at Windsor Place in Coffeyville. She was born May 11, 1917 in Wymer, Oklahoma to William and Ruby Birdie (Transue) Frantz. When she was young the family moved to the Thompson Community southwest of Edna, where she grew up and attended school. In 1944 she married John Mann and they were later divorced. On July 13, 1946 she married Claude Littrell at Tahlequah, OK. Following their marriage they made their home in the Coffeyville where Mr. Littrell was employed at the Sinclair Refinery, following its closing they were transferred to the refinery in Sinclair, WY until returning to Coffeyville in 1963. Mrs. Littrell was a member of the Seventh-Day Adventist Church, and the Dorcas Society at her church. Survivors include two daughters, Lauretta Armstrong and Oneta Rogers both of Coffeyville; one step-son, George Littrell of Pine Grove, CA; seven grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, two brothers, Denzel Frantz and Billy Frantz, one sister, Lauretta Gillespie and one step-son, Claude Littrell, Jr; six grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Graveside services will be at 2:00 p.m. Friday, October 17, 2008 in Restlawn Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may call on Thursday from 12:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. and Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the David W. Barnes Funeral Home in Coffeyville. The family suggests memorials to the Dorcas Society at the Seventh-Day Adventist Church or Alzheimer's Association. Memorial contributions may be left with the funeral directors or mailed c/o David W. Barnes Funeral Home, 306 N. Cline Rd, Coffeyville, KS 67337.
