Coffeyville - Daisy Hartman Keener, 89, of rural Copan, OK, passed away Wednesday morning, August 13, 2008 at the Caney Nursing Center in Caney. She was born March 12, 1919 near Wynona, Oklahoma to Arthur and Alice (Swank) Martin. She grew up and attended school in the Wynona area graduating from Wynona High School. In 1943 she married Ray E. Hartman. Following their marriage they made their home on the family farm north of Copan. Mr. Hartman preceded her in death in 1972. In 1975 she married Tom Keener. Mr. Keener preceded her in death in 1976. Daisy was employed for many years as a nurses aide at the Caney Rest Home. She attended the Church of Christ. Survivors include one son, Hugh Hartman of rural Copan, OK; one brother, Alfred Martin of Mannford, OK; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by one daughter, Arlene Skrok in 1994. Graveside services will be at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, August 16, 2008 at the Sunnyside Cemetery in Caney, with Rev. Mike Morris of the First Assembly of God in Caney officiating. Friends may call on Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the David W. Barnes Funeral Home in Coffeyville. David W. Barnes Funeral Home in Coffeyville is in charge of arrangements.
