Obituary of Paul Leroy Miller

Sedan - Paul Leroy Miller, 60, of Rural Peru, Kansas, died Tuesday (November 19, 2013) at the Sedan City Hospital in Sedan. He was born in Molus, Kentucky to George Miller and Bernice (Gross) Miller. He attended school in Kentucky before receiving his GED. After school, he enlisted in the United States Army in August of 1970, serving his country for over two years as a weapons specialist before being honorably discharged in 1973. On July 11, 1981 he married Dallie Napier in Wichita, Kansas. They made their home in Wichita where Paul worked for Boeing for close to twenty years. After his retirement, they moved to rural Peru, Kansas in 2005. He enjoyed four-wheeling, video games, and spending time with his Grandbabies and Family. He was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife of over thirty years, Dallie Miller of the home in rural Peru, Kansas; two daughters, Jamie Lee Phiri of Wichita, Kansas and Suzannah Berniece Smith and son-in-law Richard Smith of Niotaze, Kansas; one brother, David Hobbs of Wallins Creek, Kentucky; three brother-in-laws and four sister-in-laws; He had three grandchildren, Malaki Phiri, whom he was raising and Trinity Lewis and Imani Napier. Church services will be held Monday, November 25, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at the Cross Point Baptist Church in Caney, Kansas with Pastor Josh Eaton officiating. Burial will follow at the Peru Cemetery in Peru, Kansas. Visitation will be Sunday, November 24, 2013 from 1:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at the David W. Barnes Funeral Home in Sedan.
