Obituary of Katrina McCann

Sedan - Katrina McCann, age 62, of Dallas, Texas, formerly of Sedan, Kansas passed away Wednesday, July 30, 2008 in Dallas, Texas. She was born November 28, 1945 in Wellington, Kansas to Elmer Floyd and Hazel Jeane (Evans) McCann. She graduated from Sedan High School. She received her Bachelor's Degree in General Studies from Pittsburg State University. She married Jim Fitch and they later divorced. She moved to Dallas, Texas, living there for twenty-five years. She was a teacher in Florida for a short time. She also worked in management at J.C. Penny's. She later became the manager of Catherine's Clothing Store, working there for fifteen years. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Sedan and Mothers Against Drunk Driving. She enjoyed going to Las Vegas and visiting the casinos. She is survived by her mother, Jeane McCann of Sedan, Kansas; one son, Todd Fitch and his wife Katie of Athens, Alabama; four grandchildren, Steven, Bradley, Danielle and Victoria; two brothers, Dean McCann of Sedan, Kansas and Kent McCann of Bartlesville, Oklahoma and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father Elmer F. McCann, who passed away February 27, 2008 and twin sisters. Friends may call from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., Tuesday, August 5, 2008 at David W. Barnes Funeral Home of Sedan, Kansas. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, August 6, 2008 at the First Baptist Church of Sedan with Dr. J. Dean McNamara officiating. Interment will follow at the Greenwood Cemetery in Sedan, Kansas. The family has suggested memorial contributions to the First Baptist Church Youth Group and these remembrances may be left in care of David W. Barnes Funeral Home, 209 N. Douglas, Sedan, Kansas 67361.
