Obituary of Saundra Sue Wallace

Sedan - Saundra Sue "Sandy" Wallace, age 59, of Elgin, Kansas, passed away Sunday morning, November 4, 2007 at her residence in Elgin, Kansas. She was born August 30, 1948 in Garden City, Kansas to Gilbert Ashton and Florence Leona (Anderson) Allen. She attended school at Southeast High School in Wichita, Kansas, where she lived until 1973. She moved to Elgin in 1973, where she was currently residing. She married Willis "Bill" Johnson in 1977 and they later divorced in 1986. She married Edwin Ray Wallace on November 10, 1994 in Winfield, Kansas. He preceded her in death on February 28, 2006. She was a housewife and enjoyed gardening and painting. She is survived by two daughters, Robin Wallace Carter and her husband John of Tulsa, Oklahoma and Rebecca Kingsford and her husband Mark of North Hampton, England; one brother, Dr. Paul Dean Allen of Colorado Springs, Colorado; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Cremation has taken place and friends may sign the register book on Friday, November 9, 2007 from 9:00 a.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the David W. Barnes Funeral Home in Sedan. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, November 10, 2007 at the Elgin United Methodist Church with Reverend Jerry Bever officiating. There is no burial planned at this time. The family has suggested memorial contributions to the Sedan Humane Society and these remembrances may be left in care of David W. Barnes Funeral Home, 209 N. Douglas, Sedan, Kansas 67361.
