Carol G. Kendzierski, 69, of Dearing, passed away Tuesday, July 22, 2014 at Windsor Place in Coffeyville. She was born August 21, 1944 at Columbus, KS to Harold Ernest and Nora Lorene (Taylor) Phillips. Carol spent her early childhood and began her education in Columbus, when the early 1950's her family moved to Belvidere, IL where she grew up and completed her education graduating from Belvidere High School. In 1966 the family returned to Kansas to make their home. On September 20, 1975 she married Leo Felix Kendzierski at Liberty, KS. Following their marriage they made their home in Independence, KS. Her husband preceded her in death in April 1989. Carol moved to Dearing several years ago to be closer to her family. She attended the Baptist Church. Carol loved playing bingo, visiting the residents at Windsor Place, and spending time with her family. Survivors include her twin brother, Harold Dean Phillips and wife Nettie of Dearing; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and infant twin sisters. Graveside services will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, July 26, 2014 at the Park Cemetery in Columbus, KS, with her cousin Rev. Wesley Graver of Wagoner, OK officiating. Friends may call on Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the David W. Barnes Funeral Home in Coffeyville. The family suggests memorials to the Windsor Place Activity Fund; contributions may be left with the funeral home or mailed c/o David W. Barnes Funeral Home, 306 North Cline Road, Coffeyville, KS 67337.
