Obituary of Nathan Charles "Chuck" Kudrick

Chuck Kudrick, 71, of Coffeyville passed away Monday, August 4, 2014, at his home.
Chuck was born August 20, 1942 at Mound Valley, KS to George Martin and Nancy Ola (Denning) Kudrick. He grew up in the Mound Valley area, where he attended Globe School and graduated from Labette County Community High School, and attended Coffeyville Community College.
On December 2, 1961 he married Sharon Marie Childress at Coffeyville. Following their marriage they made their home and raised their family in Coffeyville. Sharon preceded him in death on February 15, 2011.
Chuck was employed as a truck driver for Campbell 66, and as a meat cutter at Hoseney's, all while serving as a fire fighter with the Coffeyville Fire Department. In 1976 Chuck and Sharon bought Coffeyville Re-con operating it until retiring in 2007.
He was a member of Grace Fellowship, and a lifetime member of the Inter-State Fair and Rodeo. Chuck loved hunting, fishing, ranching, spending time in the hay field, and especially the time spent with his family.
Survivors include one daughter, Sherri Powers and husband Brian of Bartlesville, OK; two sons, Mike Kudrick and wife Erin of Wann, OK, and Kelly Kudrick of Coffeyville; three sisters, Dorothy Carson of Vancouver, WA, Margaret Oliphant of Wichita, and Nancy Gregory of Cherryvale; six grandchildren, Stephanie Schneickert, Joe Sykes, Kendall Kudrick, Kassidy Kudrick, Garrett Kudrick, and Khloe Kudrick; and three great-grandchildren, Henry Schneickert, Oliver Schneickert, and Benjamin Schneickert.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, his brother, George Martin Kudrick, and an infant sister, Mary Lou Kudrick.
Services will be at 10:00 a.m. Friday, August 8, 2014 at Grace Fellowship with Rev. Gerald Morris and Rev Doug Mund officiating. Burial will be in Restlawn Memorial Park.
Friends may sign the register book on Thursday from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the David W. Barnes Funeral Home in Coffeyville.
