Billy Glen Daugherty, 65, of Dearing, KS passed away Tuesday, August 26, 2014 at his home.
He was born November 8, 1948, at Detroit, Michigan to Lowell and Ellen (Evans) Daugherty. His family moved to the Goodman, Missouri area where he attended school graduating from Goodman High School. Following high school he attended Crowder College.
On June 16, 1978 he married Jean Coble at the Dearing Christian Church in Dearing. Following their marriage they made their home in Coffeyville until moving to Dearing 15 years ago.
Billy was employed as a machinist at Spears Mfg. Co at Caney, KS.
Survivors include his wife, Jean of the home; one son Danny Uppendahl of Coffeyville; and two grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and one brother, Jack Daugherty.
A Memorial Service celebrating Billy's life will be at 11:00 a.m. Friday, August 29, 2014 at the Dearing Christian Church with Pastor Jamie Regis officiating. Following Billy's wishes cremation has taken place.
