Obituary of Charlotte Paige

Charlotte M. Paige, age 60, of Wichita, Kansas (former resident of Sedan) passed away Wednesday, September 3, 2014 at Via Christi St. Francis Hospital in Wichita. She was born October 19, 1953, in Newport, Rhode Island to Arnold J. Blankinship and Alma C. (Clark) Blankinship. She grew up in Sedan and graduated from Sedan High School. On February 8, 1975 she married Mike Paige in Sedan, Kansas. They have made their home in Wichita for the past 39 years. Charlotte received her Registered Nursing diploma from Butler County Community College in El Dorado, Kansas and she also taught in the nursing program at BCCC for some time. She worked as a nurse for 10 years before becoming a full-time housewife. Charlotte was a past leader of the Girl Scout Troop #277 in Wichita; past band mother for the Goddard Marching Band, she loved to scrapbook and loved the Big Bang Theory television show. Survivors include her husband Mike Paige of the home in Wichita, Kansas; one daughter, Debra C. Mallard and husband Patrick of Wichita, Kansas; three brothers, David Blankinship of Oswego, Kansas, Mike Blankinship of Elkhart, Indiana, and Nathan Blankinship of Sedan, Kansas; three step-grandchildren, Ian, Josh, and Emily Mallard of Wichita, Kansas. She was preceded in death by one sister and her parents. Graveside services will be held Sunday, September 14, 2014 at 2:30 p.m. at the Greenwood Cemetery in Sedan.
