Obituary of Carol Ann Garner - Baker

Carol Ann (Dunn) Garner-Baker, 69, of South Coffeyville, OK, passed away Thursday, September 11, 2014, at her home with her family at her side. She was born April 3, 1945, at Coffeyville, KS to Roy and Eunice (Scott) Dunn. Carol grew up and attended school in Coffeyville. Carol married Kenneth Garner in 1963. He preceded her in death in 1996. She was employed as an Accounts Payable Clerk for Carter Automotive for many years. In 2012 she married George F. Baker of South Coffeyville, OK. Survivors include her husband, George of the home; three daughters, Terrie Ward of Bartlett, TN, Patty Garner of South Coffeyville, OK, and Debbie Floyd of St. Louis, MO; three step-sons, Vinson Baker of Nowata, OK, Mycale Baker and Dale Baker both of South Coffeyville, OK; seven grandchildren, Michelle Garner, Powers Ward, Rachel Ward, McKenzie Garner, Haley Floyd, Samantha Floyd, and Shawn Floyd. Graveside services will be at 10:00 a.m., Monday, September 15, 2014 at the Fairview Cemetery in Coffeyville, with Chaplin Mike Graham of Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice officiating. Friends may call on Sunday from 12:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the David W. Barnes Funeral Home in Coffeyville. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home. The family suggests memorials to the Johnson Center of Basic Cancer Research at Kansas State University; contributions may be left with the funeral home or mailed c/o David W.
