I am so sorry to hear about Mrs. DeTar's passing. She was my second grade teacher at Cedar Bluff School and helped to inspire me to go into teaching. What a kind, caring woman who was one of my absolute favorites, eventhough, she had to give me a well-deserved paddling. I truly loved her. She will be missed by all who knew her.

I am so sorry for your loss. I have so many wonderful memories of Aunt Jo. She was my GodMother, my teacher at St Andrew's Grade School, my loving aunt. I remember her "letting me out of class early at St Andrew's" so I could go make coffee for her and the nuns. I remember her coming to see my Mom and family as a child. I remember driving in the country and her stopping so I could pick wild garlic for her from a ditch. She was a special lady and will be missed. She was one of a kind.

Aunt Jo was a wonderful aunt. She worked very hard for many years out on their family farm. She was good at making quilts and rugs and I will cherish the rugs that she gave to me over the years. She and I shared a wedding date, April 14th and she signed a paper that once read that she believed that Bill and I should get married. That was in 1989. I will miss her.
