Obituary of Helen E. Pauzauskie

Helen E. Pauzauskie, 92, of Coffeyville passed away Wednesday, December 24, 2014 at Coffeyville Regional Medical Center. She was born December 28, 1921 at Coffeyville to Thomas H. and Julia Ann (Sherry) Hurley. Helen grew up in Coffeyville where she attended Holy Name Catholic School, and graduated from Field Kindley High School and Coffeyville Community College. On January 17, 1943 she married John M. Pauzauskie at La Crosse, Wisconsin. After her husband's discharge at the end of World War II they returned to Coffeyville where they raised their family. Her husband preceded her in death on September 5, 1986. Helen was a homemaker, and worked for a time at Southwestern Bell Telephone Co., and Dr. Stephen Ellis. She was a member of Holy Name Catholic Church, and Holy Name Altar Society. Survivors include five sons, John Pauzauskie of Jasper, TX, Tom Pauzauskie of rural Tyro, KS, Bill Pauzauskie of Fort Collins, CO, Tony Pauzauskie of Weatherford, TX, and Bob Pauzauskie of Meeker, OK; two daughters, Mary Pauzauskie-Blackburn of Elgin, SC, and Julie Junge of Piedmont, OK; one sister, Virginia Frey of Spring Hill, KS, 24 grandchildren, and 23 great-grandchildren. A Rosary Vigil Service will be at 7:00 p.m. Monday, December 29, 2014 at Holy Name Catholic Church in Coffeyville. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, December 30, 2014 at Holy Name Catholic Church in Coffeyville with Father Chad Arnold officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Friends may call on Monday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the David W. Barnes Funeral Home in Coffeyville.
