Obituary of Victoria Jean Hodges

Victoria Jean Hodges, 61, of Coffeyville passed away Saturday, December 27, 2014 at Windsor Place. She was born September 1, 1953, at Coffeyville to Bill and Donna (Johnston) Travis. Vicky spent her early years and began her education in Coffeyville, until her family moved to Plano, TX where she graduated from Plano High School. After high school she attended Texas A & M University. In July 1973, she married Logan "Pete" Hodges in Denver, CO. They had one daughter, Natalie, they were later divorced. For many years Vicky was a Store Director for Albertson's and later sold real estate until retiring due to her health. Vicky lived in Houston, TX, Dallas, TX, and later Tulsa, OK before returning to Coffeyville to be closer to her daughter. She was a member of Holy Name Catholic Church. She enjoyed singing, listening to music, and loved spending time with her daughter and grandchildren. Survivors include one daughter, Natalie Hodges-Adamson and husband Richard of Coffeyville; her parents, Bill and Donna Travis of Boise, ID; three sisters, Marci Butler of Lubbock, TX, Sharon Stevens of Boise, ID, and Sandra Raisner of Midland, TX; and four grandchildren, Dax Adamson, Logan Adamson, Maxxamus Adamson, and Elizabeth Adamson. She was preceded in death by one sister, Tamara Travis. A Rosary Vigil Service will be at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 30, 2014 at Holy Name Catholic Church in Coffeyville. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 31, 2014 at Holy Name Catholic Church in Coffeyville with Father Chad Arnold officiating. Inurnment will be in the Robbins Cemetery west of Coffeyville. Friends may sign the register book on Tuesday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the David W. Barnes Funeral Home in Coffeyville. The family suggests memorials to Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice, or the ALS Association; contributions may be left with the funeral home or mailed c/o David W.
