Obituary of Charlene Nan Sellers

Charlene Nan Sellers, 76, of Coffeyville Kansas, died Friday, January 2, 2015. Born March 14, 1938, in Evanston, Illinois, she was the daughter of the late O.N. and Charlene Wilson Sellers and sister of the late Thomas L. Sellers of Danville KY. Nan was a graduate of the University of Kentucky, where she was a member of the Kappa Alpha Theta sorority. She grew up in Danville, KY and spent her summers in Sylvan Beach, Michigan (on Lake Michigan), where she was an accomplished sailor. She lived in Fort Myers, FL for many years owning a pet store there before moving to Oklahoma where she raised cattle on a ranch with her father. After leaving Oklahoma she settled in Coffeyville, KS. Nan will be remembered for her artistic talent, her strong independence, her love for her many dogs over the years, her passion for her family and family genealogy, and her warm smile. Nan was survived her sister-in-law, Lee Sellers of Danville, KY, her niece Kristin Sellers Schneider (Chris) of Cincinnati, OH, her nephew Timothy Sellers (Amy Jackson) of Geneva, NY, three grand nephews Anthony and George Schneider and Owen Sellers and one grand niece Lily Sellers. A private family service will be held in Danville KY.
