Obituary of Herbert L. Hugo

Herbert Lloyd Hugo, of Coffeyville, died Tuesday morning, January 6, 2015 at Asbury Village while in the presence of family members. He was born October 5, 1928 at Mound Valley, Kansas to Oral and Gladys Hugo. He married Georgia Engleman on November 29, 1949 at Independence, Kansas. The couple lived in Coffeyville and operated Hugo’s 66 and Hugo’s Conoco. Survivors are a daughter, Beverly Hunter of McPherson, a son, Dwight Hugo (Dee) of rural Coffeyville, a brother, Harold Hugo of Parsons, Kansas and a sister, Hilda Maples of Denison, Texas. He was preceded in death by his wife, Georgia and two brothers. Services are Thursday, January 8, 2015 at the David W. Barnes Funeral Home in Coffeyville, Kansas at 2:00 p.m. Memorials are suggested to the McPherson Humane Society, 201 S Elm, McPherson, Kansas 67460.
