David L. Ross, 67, of Coffeyville, passed away Monday, January 5, 2015 at Windsor Place. David was born to Marion L and Maurine (Loh) Ross on January 17, 1947 in Coffeyville, Kansas. He grew up in Coffeyville, graduating from Field Kindley High School and then attending Coffeyville Community College. He also lived in Bartlesville, Oklahoma and Broken Arrow, Oklahoma before returning to home to Coffeyville. He also served in the Army and was a member of the V.F.W and American Legion. David worked at Orschelin's until he retired in January of 2012. David was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his son, David W. Ross of Vermont and his daughter Amy Ballow and her husband, Jason also of Vermont, and his sister, Janine Ross of Coffeyville, and one granddaughter. Graveside Services will be Friday, January 9, 2015 at the Harrisonville Cemetery north of Tyro, Kansas at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Brendt Wills officiating. Visitation will be Thursday, January 8, 2015 from 12:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. The family suggests memorials to Eagle Rock Ministries and can be left at the funeral home or can be mailed to David W. Barnes Funeral Home, 306 N. Cline Road, Coffeyville, Kansas 67337.
