Sorry I wasn't there to tell you goodbye old buddy, but I didn't get the word in time. We were friends for well over 70 years, and more than fraternity brothers you were the brother I never had. Bon Voyage old hoss.

Lue, I am sorry to hear of Pratt's passing. He was truly "one of the good guys" and his contributions to Coffeyville set a pretty high bar for the rest of the businessmen in town. May Pratt's memory be a blessing to all who knew him.

Dear Lue and family,
Our thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time. I have so many fond memories of having you and your family as neighbors while I grew up in Coffeyville. We could not have had better neighbors and I know Shryl and Wes still feel that way. They have shared many times you both have helped each other - including going to your basement with Pratt during tornado watches. When I hear birds sing, I think of the trees we shared and it always brings me back to my childhood home - where birds always had food and a drink. Mark and I also remember babysitting at your beautiful home - with your lively, fun loving, but well -behaved children. Pratt lived an honorable life contributing much to Coffeyville residents and history. Take care of yourself and I hope to see you sometime soon.
Love, Susan, Dan and Sarah Case

So sorry to learn of Pratt's passing. I have fond memories of growing up next door to the Barndollars. I even 'babyset'....if you can call it that.....the Barndollar 'kids'. Little terrors that you were :). I remember Pratt and Lue coming home from an evening out and me reporting that one of their kids fell down the basement stairs. Pratt blew it off like 'no big deal'....guess that's why you kids grew up tough....like you'd expect from a great Dad who wore cowboy boots. How I digress...doesn't sound like the right story for a tribute to your Dad.....but I liked him a lot and will always have fond memories of Pratt and Lue. Bless you Lue and kids in this time of difficulty, Mark Dulin

How will Coffeyville ever exist without a Pratt Barndollar? We've had two of them, spanning more than a century, plus his grandfather, J.J. Barndollar. What an iconic family! Our prayers are with Lou and the family as they gather to celebrate the life of such a great man.

The loss of Pratt is most sad. Not just for his family members but, those who grew up in Coffeyville. He was well respected by all. I appreciate the opportunity of sitting and visiting with him at the Coffeyville Nostalgic Celebration on Cedar Bluff Camp site some years back. My visual of Pratt remains as always.....with his glowing smile perched high on his handsome horse. Everyone associates him with the large Coffeyville fair and rodeo. Pratt was a familiar personality sitting high in the saddle in the grand parades held then. Heaven has gained another fine cowboy........God be with his family at this time of loss. Maybe they have peace beyond all understanding.
Respectfully,
Susan Misch Hoop
