Robert E. Glasgow, Sr. (79), of Coffeyville, Kansas, died January 26th, 2015 in Bartlesville, Oklahoma. He was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma on December 14th, 1935 to W.E. and Goldie Isabelle (Copple) Glasgow. He graduated high school from Ramona, Oklahoma. He attended Oklahoma Baptist University and Northeastern State College in Tahlequah. He married Marylou Anderson in 1961. He was a Southern Baptist pastor for 52 years. He pastored churches in Marble City, Wann, Copan, Fairfax, and Pleasant Valley, Oklahoma. He also pastored churches in Caney, Kansas, Knox, Indiana, and Pleasant Hope, Missouri. After retirement, he was a member of First Southern Baptist Church in Coffeyville, Kansas. He is survived by his wife Marylou of the home. He is also survived by children Bob (Betty) Glasgow of Bolivar, Missouri; Susan (John) Pedersen of Wichita, Kansas; Ed (Deana) Glasgow of Grove, Oklahoma; Ben Glasgow of Licking, Missouri. He is also survived by grandchildren Brent and Renee Pedersen, Alyssa and Melody Glasgow, Hanna and Josie Glasgow. He is preceded in death by his parents and two brothers Benny and Bill Glasgow and one sister Goldie Todd. Friends may call on Wednesday, January 29, 2015 from 12:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the David W. Barnes Funeral Home in Coffeyville. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 7:00 – 8:30 pm at the Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 11:00 am on Thursday, January 29th at First Southern Baptist Church in Coffeyville. Memorial contributions in lieu of flowers can be given to Pleasant Valley Baptist Church in care of David W. Barnes Funeral Home, 306 North Cline Road, Coffeyville, KS 67337.
