Obituary of Ronald J. Brooks

Ronald J. Brooks, Sr., 56, of Coffeyville, passed away January 11, 2015 at Coffeyville Regional Medical Center. He was born October 28, 1958, at St. Louis, MO to Howard and Lucille (Palazzolo) Brooks. Ronald grew up and attended school in St. Louis. On May 6, 1982, he married Sandra Kay Jennings at St. Louis, MO. Following their marriage they made their home in St. Louis until moving to Coffeyville in 1993. After moving to Coffeyville where Ronald worked as a security guard at Acme Foundry until becoming disabled due his health. His wife preceded him in death on July 28, 2014. Ronald was a member of the National Guard for many years. He loved spending time with his family, and enjoyed model RC cars. Survivors include one son, Ronald Brooks, Jr.; two daughters, Jeanie "Edith" Jennings, and Jenny Watson all of Coffeyville; two sisters, Sharron Brooks and Mary Brooks; and nine grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, and one brother, Randy Brooks. A Memorial Service celebrating her live will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, January 31, 2015, at the First Church of the Nazarene with Rev. Ford Hall officiating. Following Ronald's wishes cremation has taken place.
