Obituary of Joseph L. Knight

Joseph L. "Joe" Knight, 59, of South Coffeyville, OK, passed away Friday, January 30, 2015, at the OSU Medical Center in Tulsa, OK.
He was born January 27, 1956, at Oceanside, CA, to Brythol "Bob" and Mary Arvilla (Bagley) Knight. . When he was young his family moved to Coffeyville where he grew up and attended West Coffeyville Grade school and graduated from Field Kindley High School.
Joe worked at OK Electric in Coffeyville for 28 years rebuilding Alternators and Starters until becoming disabled.
He enjoyed fishing and loved spending time with his family especially his grandkids.
He survived by his wife Lavena Baker of the home; one daughter, Sarah Bolinger of Edna, KS; three grandchildren raised by Joe and Lavena, Michael Bolinger, Brenna Bolinger, and Kylan Baker all of the home; two brothers, Richard Knight of rural South Coffeyville, Oklahoma, and Robert Knight of Coffeyville; three sisters, Jan Knight of Coffeyville, Mary Croshere of Warsaw, Indiana and Jean Beeson, also of Warsaw, Indiana.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Irving Knight on Jan. 3, 2015; and one daughter, Rachel Nacole Baker on Nov. 21, 2014.
Following Joe's wishes cremation will take place and no service is planned at this time.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, February 5, 2015 from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the David W. Barnes Funeral Home in Coffeyville.
The family suggests memorials for the benefit Joe's Grandchildren; contributions may be left with the funeral home or mailed c/o David W. Barnes Funeral Home, 306 North Cline Road, Coffeyville, KS 67337.
