Obituary of Betty J. Collins

Betty J. Collins, 88, of Coffeyville passed away Monday, February 9, 2015, at Windsor Place in Coffeyville.
She was born on August 2, 1926, at Poteau, OK to Leonard Iver and Amanda Jane (Mobley) Coffman. Her family later moved to the Lenapah, OK area where she grew up and graduated from Lenapah High School.
Betty married Glenn Folk, they had one daughter, Glenna. They were later divorced.
She later married Clyde C. Collins, he preceded her in death on January 8, 1990.
Betty worked at Taylor Wholesale Bag Co. for 34 years.
For the last four years Betty lived at Windsor Place where she made many friends.
Survivors include one daughter, Glenna Terry of Joplin, MO; three grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and seven great-great-grandchildren, and her dog Liza who was her constant companion.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde; one granddaughter, and one grandson.
Graveside services will be at 1:00 p.m., Friday, February 13, 2015 at the Fairview Cemetery in Coffeyville with Chaplain Mike Graham of Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice officiating.
Friends may call on Thursday, February 12, 2015, from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the David W. Barnes Funeral Home in Coffeyville.
Memorials are suggested to Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice; contributions may be left with the funeral home or mailed c/o David W. Barnes Funeral Home, 306 North Cline Road, Coffeyville, KS 67337.
