Milisa Denees Dillon, 62, of South Coffeyville, Oklahoma passed away Thursday, February 19, 2015 at her home with her animals beside her. She was born March 16, 1952 to Martin and Susan (Hill) Dillon III in Coral Gables, Florida. She had a brother, Sandy Madin Dillon IV. All have preceded her in death. She grew up in Knoxville, Tennessee, moving with her mother and horse to South Coffeyville, Oklahoma in 1969 and living with her grandparents, Sandy and Mildred, who also preceded her in death. She attended junior and senior hear of high school at Ursuline Academy in Paola, Kansas and college at St. Gregory's in Shawnee, Oklahoma. She graduated from the Tri County Tech in Bartlesville, Oklahoma as an LPN in 1975. She then worked in the Coffeyville area. Since she was three years old, her life revolved around horses, showing hunters/jumpers in Federation and AQHA. The last years of her life, she fox hunted and was a member of Coal Valley Hounds in McCune, Kansas. An avid animal lover, her life revolved around her animals and helping out at the St. Paul Episcopal Church in Coffeyville, Kansas. She loved reading and studying her Bible in Daniel and Revelation. Since 1970, her horses have been given to her, the Silent Devil line. All were champions within the H/J arenas, from the Shoat Webster family. She grew up within the U.S. Pony Club and started showing horses in 1964. Memorial services will be at 10:00 a.m., Monday, February 23, 2015 at St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Coffeyville, Kansas with Mother Antoinette Tackett. Inurnment will follow at Fairview Cemetery. Milisa had requested that all guests "come as you are" and wear no black. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations made to the St. Paul's Episcopal Church.
