Wanda Leona Shutte, 79, of Coffeyville passed away Saturday, February 28, 2015, at her home. She was born December 1, 1935, at Oklahoma City, OK, to Euris Nobel and Lottie Pearl (Rhodes) Daniel. Wanda spent her childhood and began her education in Oklahoma City before moving with her family to Caney, KS where she completed her education graduating from Caney High School. She married Jesse Hobbs on March 10 1956, they had five children. They were later divorced. On December 23, 1983, she married William "Bill" Shutte. Following their marriage they made their home in Coffeyville. Wanda was a homemaker. She enjoyed fishing, traveling, crocheting, and crafting. But most of all loved spending time with her family. Survivors include her husband, Bill of the home; two sons, Jesse Hobbs of Austin, TX, and Lewis Hobbs of Marquand, MO; three daughters, Letitia Hobbs of Caney, KS, DeJuania Hobbs of Langley, OK, and Janine Hobbs of San Antonio, TX; one brother, Marvin Daniel of Caney, KS; one sister, Diana Harp of Austin, TX; ten grandchildren, and nineteen great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Frank, Clayton, and Ernest; and two sisters, Letha and Shirley. Friends may call on Thursday, March 5, 2015 from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the David W. Barnes Funeral Home in Coffeyville. A private family service will be held on Friday. The family suggests memorials to Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice, or the Coffeyville Friends of Animals; contributions may be left with the funeral home or mailed c/o David W. Barnes Funeral Home, 306 North Cline Road, Coffeyville, KS 67337.
