Obituary of Wesley C.D. Moody

Wesley C.D. Moody, 89 of Tyro, Kansas passed away, Tuesday, March 10, 2015, at Coffeyville Regional Medical Center. Wesley was born July 21, 1925 in Collinsville, Oklahoma to Commodore Dewey and Mildred Elsie (Mardis) Moody. He attended schools in Bartlesville, Oklahoma. He married Katherine Louise Bridges on March 11, 1946. They had made their home in Tyro since 1982. She passed away June 23, 2007. Wesley served in the U.S. Navy. He was also a member of the Tyro Christian Church. He enjoyed gardening and spending time with his family, especially the grandkids. He was employed at several different jobs including, Crystal Creamery, M.J. Lee Construction, Dewey Portland Cement Plant and fifteen years at Acme Foundry. In addition to his parents and wife, he is preceded in death by one son, Sidney Guy Moody. He is survived by two daughters, Peggy Louise Coy of Neodesha, Kansas and Brenda Sue Moody of Tyro, Kansas and one son, Wesley Edward Moody of Coffeyville, Kansas and twelve grandchildren, thirty-three great-grandchildren and sixteen great-great-grandchildren. He is also survived by Carol Packard of Bartlesville, Oklahoma, Joan Keen of Bartlesville, Oklahoma, Patty Ann Holt of Tulsa, Oklahoma and Lois Moore of Fort Worth, Texas and one brother Jimmy Moody of Bartlesville, Oklahoma. Graveside services will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, March 14, 2015 at the Harrisonville Cemetery north of Tyro with Evangelist David Bycroft officiating. There will be a dinner for immediate family at the Tyro Christian Church at 12:00 p.m. before the service. Visitation will be Friday, March 13, 2015 from 11:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
