Obituary of Corrine C. Myers

Corrine C. Myers, 93, of Coffeyville passed away Monday, March 16, 2015, at her home.
She was born on June 24, 1921 on the family farm east of Coffeyville to David Patrick and Lena M. (Ostdickenberg) McGrath. Corrine grew up in rural Coffeyville and attended Holy Name Catholic School, and graduated from Field Kindley High School and Coffeyville Community College.
After completing Junior College she began working as a bookkeeper for Junge Bakery where she worked until after her marriage to raise their daughters.
On June 14, 1956, she married George Albert Myers at Holy Name Catholic Church in Coffeyville. Following their marriage they made their home in Coffeyville where they raised their three daughters. Her husband preceded her in death on March 12, 2013.
Corrine was a lifelong member of Holy Name Catholic Church, and was also a member of Altar Society. She enjoyed being active in her church, and loved caring for her family members, especially her daughters, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Survivors include her three daughters, Margaret Myers of Coffeyville, Georgia Livingston and her husband Rick of Edgerton, KS, and Kathy Bromley and her husband Dirk of Coffeyville; one sister, Katherine Kistler of Coffeyville; four grandsons, Rick Livingston and his wife Lisa, Jerad Livingston and his wife Michelle, Christopher Livingston, Kirk Bromley and his wife Whitney; four granddaughters, Samantha Schroeder and her husband Jeff, Krista Bromley, Kelli Bromley, Carrie Lariviere and her husband Jim; 10 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, two brothers and six sisters.
A Rosary Vigil Service will be at 7:30 p.m. Friday, March 20, 2015 at Holy Name Catholic Church.
Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, March 21, 2015 at Holy Name Catholic Church, with Father Chad Arnold officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.
Friends may call on Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the David W. Barnes Funeral Home in Coffeyville.
The family suggests memorials to Holy Name Catholic School; contributions may be left at the funeral home or mailed c/o David W. Barnes Funeral Home, 306 North Cline Road, Coffeyville, KS 67337.
