Obituary of Patricia Lee Criswell

Patricia Lee Criswell, age 83 of Coffeyville, died April 20, 2015 at St. Francis Hospital in Tulsa, OK, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident on April 9, 2015.
Patricia was born December 15, 1931 in Salina, KS to Howard C. and Lila W. Clarke Bowman. She grew up and graduated from high school in Salina. She attended Wichita State University and received a Bachelor of Music Education degree. She moved to Coffeyville in 1961 with her husband, Jim and spent her years teaching Elementary Education.
Pat was a member of the First Presbyterian Church where she was a deacon.
Patricia was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, James R. Criswell, an infant daughter, two sisters and her parents.
She is survived by sons Jim, of Coffeyville, and Randy of Laguna Niguel, CA, daughter Kerri Lynn and husband, Bill Oswald of Austin, TX, grandchildren Lauren and Samantha Criswell, Erich Oswald and wife Kathryn, Hanna Oswald, Jon Oswald, great-granddaughter Marlo Oswald and faithful friends Julie Kuehn and Carla and Charlie Thurman.
Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, April 25, 2015 at Fairview Cemetery Veterans Memorial Patio with Pastor Diane Massey of the First Presbyterian Church officiating. Entombment will be in Restlawn Memorial Park.
Friends may call Friday, April 24, 2015 from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
In lieu of other remembrances, the family suggests that memorials may be made to the Jim Criswell Memorial Scholarship Fund at Coffeyville Community College and may be left at the funeral home or mailed c/o David W. Barnes Funeral Home, 306 N. Cline Road, Coffeyville, KS 67337.
