Betty will always be a part of my life during those teen years. Being neighbors with the Zimmers was my blessing. She was always there when I needed somebody to talk to about those little things a teenager needs to discuss. Almost daily we are made aware of the loss of friends and family. When I read about Betty leaving us it was a real hard shake to my emotional awareness! I spent my young teen years cleaning and spending most of my free time in the restaurant. At times it was almost as I was raised there. I still wonder why I was allowed to be there all the time. Betty's no nonsense approach when I went to her with my typical teenage problems was a big part of my survival of the 70's! Betty once convinced me that a girl I was crazy about was the REAL loser of a broken relationship! She jokingly said that if I was about 20 years older and had at least $20.00 in my pocket she would snatch me up! Remembered forever in my heart! PeeWee
