Violet Barker, 97, of Coffeyville, Kansas passed away Sunday May 31, 2015 at Coffeyville Regional Medical Center.
Violet was born on September 2, 1917 in Altamont Kansas to Henry and Matilda Bruhn. She attended school at Richland.
She married Ralph Barker on April 4, 1948. He passed away on September 1, 1949.
Violet was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church.
In addition to her husband, Violet was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and six sisters.
She is survived by one sister, Elizabeth Bruhn of the home; three nephews, one niece and several great-nieces and great-nephews.
Graveside services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, June 3, 2015 at Fairview Cemetery in Coffeyville with Rev. Paul Rosberg officiating.
Friends may sign the book Tuesday, June 2 from 12:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the David W. Barnes Funeral Home.
