Dixie Barnard Dixie Jean Barnard, 88, of Coffeyville, KS passed away Tuesday, June 2, 2015, at Windsor Place in Coffeyville. She was born August 6, 1926, at Coffeyville to George and Charlotte (Blagg) Stanley. Dixie grew up and attended school in Coffeyville. On April 21, 1946, she married George F. Barnard in Coffeyville. Following their marriage they made their home in Coffeyville where they raised their family. Dixie attended the First Church of the Nazarene in Coffeyville. She was a member of the Lucky 13 HDU, she enjoyed sewing and being active with the Dogs for Kids at the hospital, but most all loved spending time with her family. Survivors include one daughter, Nancy Lynnette Diveley of Caney; two sons, Bruce Gregory Barnard of Owasso, OK, and Rick Alan Barnard of Independence; nine grandchildren, and sixteen great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and son-in-law, Randy Diveley. A Memorial Service celebrating Dixie's life will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, June 6, 2015 at Fairview Cemetery Veterans Memorial Patio with Rev. Ford Hall officiating. Inurnment will take place in Fairview Cemetery. Friends may sign the register book on Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the David W. Barnes Funeral Home in Coffeyville. The family suggests memorials to the First Church of the Nazarene; contributions may be left with the funeral home or mailed c/o David W.
