Patsy A. "Pat" Bush, 82, of Coffeyville passed away Sunday, June 7, 2015, at her home. She was born November 7, 1932, in Kansas City, MO to Harvey and Pearl (Cline) Hodges. Pat grew up in Ramona, OK, graduating from Ramona High School. On September 20, 1952, she married Carl Bush in Bartlesville, OK. Following their marriage Pat worked as a switch board operator for Southwestern Bell Telephone Co. while her husband completed his college education. The family moved to Phillipsburg, KS when Carl became a Chemical Engineer for CRA Inc. Carl's job then took them to Coffeyville, and Scottsbluff, NE, back to Phillipsburg, Coffeyville, and Kansas City, MO, before returning to Coffeyville a third time in 1981. During their time in Scottsbluff, Patsy worked as a Welcome Wagon Hostess and an Avon Representative. Her husband preceded her in death on August 13, 2005. Pat was a former member of the First United Methodist Church and attended Grace Fellowship Church. Due to her health, Patsy enjoyed the in-home fellowship provided by Pastor Diane Massey of the First Presbyterian Church. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, BEO Beta Sigma Phi Sorority, and several different Bridge groups. Pat really enjoyed playing cards, hosting parties, going to the casino, but most of all loved spending time with her family and friends. Patsy was a very generous person, always considerate of others and she never met a stranger. Patsy lived with a disabling hereditary neuropathy and courageously battled cancer for 28 years. Through it all she never complained and always remained positive even after the loss of her beloved Carl. She will be remembered for her strength and determination. Survivors include one son, Rick Bush and wife Debbie of Derby, KS; two daughters, Carla Tuttle and husband Willie of Winfield, KS and Clara White and husband Doug of El Dorado, KS; eight grandchildren, Brian Tuttle, Laura McPherson, Brandon Tuttle, Hannah Ritz, Audrey Boeser, Garrett White, Tanner White, and Gannon White; and ten great-grandchildren. A Memorial Service celebrating Pat's life will be at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, June 13, 2015; at the First Presbyterian Church with Pastor Diane Massey officiating. Inurnment will be in Restlawn Memorial Park. The family suggests memorials to Windsor Place in honor of Fern McDaniel who was Pat's friend and caregiver, or The First Presbyterian Church; contributions may be left with the funeral home or mailed c/o David W.
