Obituary of Helen Louise Brown

Sedan - Helen Louise Brown, age 82, of Emporia, Kansas formerly of Sedan, passed away Friday September 21, 2007 at Newman Regional Health in Emporia, Kansas. She was born January 22, 1925 in Sedan, Kansas to Vernest and Lena P. (Harrold) Williams. She attended school in Sedan. She married Roy Brown. He preceded her in death. She lived in Sedan until 1972 then moved to Wichita, where she worked at the VA Store. She lived there until June of 1994. She then moved to Emporia, where she was currently living with her son. She is survived by two sons, Don Brown of Emporia, Kansas and David Brown and his wife Cindy of Caney, Kansas; one daughter, Patricia Brown of Emporia, Kansas; one sister, Laura Pryor of Wichita, Kansas and four grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one son, one daughter, one sister and one brother. Friends may call from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., Thursday, September 27, 2007 at the David W. Barnes Funeral Home of Sedan, Kansas. Graveside Services will be held Friday, September 28, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. at Greenwood Cemetery in Sedan with Reverend Paul Stetz officiating.
