Obituary of Anna V Slinkard

Anna V Slinkard, 80 of rural Coffeyville, passed away Wednesday, August 26, 2015 at the Osage Nursing Home in Nowata, OK. Anna V was born December 11, 1934 in rural Chautauqua County, Kansas to William "Ervin" and Gertrude (Garrison) Robbins. She graduated high school in Bowring, OK and Business College in Bartlesville, OK. She married Danny Slinkard October 11, 1965 in Wagner, OK. They made their home southwest of Bartlesville, OK for 20 years before moving to rural Coffeyville, where they have lived for the last 25 years. She worked as a secretary at Phillips Petroleum Co. for 44 years and also helped on the family ranch. She enjoyed taking care of the animals. She is survived by her husband Danny, of the home, her son, Duston Slinkard and his wife Michelle of Topeka, KS and her daughter Angela Voelzke and her husband Ryan of rural Coffeyville and two grandsons, Casen and Colin Voelzke. Graveside services will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, August 28, 2015 at Robbins Cemetery, west of Coffeyville with Pastor Fred Wooldridge of the Bartlett Christian Church officiating. Friends may sign the book from 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Thursday, August 27, 2015, at the David W. Barnes Funeral Home in Coffeyville. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association and left at the funeral home or can be mailed c/o David W. Barnes Funeral Home 306 N.
