Gail so sorry for your loss.I have been thinking about you. My mother lacked 2 weeks being 93. She lived with me 8 years. Went everywhere with me. She was in a nursing home a little over a year. My sister was unable to care for her the days I worked. But I went every morning at 6 am to give her a shower and get her dressed for the day. So I look back as you will and be proud and glad you were able to do this. What a sweet time it was. You take care. Come over our way sometime. The coffee pot is always on. Love Betsy gambrill

There will always be a light on for you Mother!!!! I know you are not in anymore pain. I miss you and count my blessings I was able to spend as much time with you these past 4 years since your health has failed. I would have done it another 10!!!! I know you are in God's kingdom. Sometime, sent a butterfly or a beautiful red bird to let me know you haven't forget about me. Everyone at Eagle misses you and told me you were so nice to them and that they loved you. Aunt Mary was my father's (James Owen Patterson) sister. I have many fond memories of family gatherings with Aunt Mary and her girls. We have been fortunate enough to have developed close family ties and the cousins continue the tradition of gathering on Decoration Day at Slaytonville Cemetery on the Oklahoma/Arkansas border.
I loved hearing Aunt Mary speak. She had a wonderful rich voice with a distinctively Southern accent. Her mind remained active until the end and we all were lucky to have been able to listen to her many stories of growing up in Cameron and her life on the farm. She was the most hard-working woman I've ever known and the physical work she did took a toll on her body. I don't think she would have had it any other way and, because of that, I have so much respect for her.
She will be missed by her children, grand and great-grand children, of course, but she has many nieces and nephews who will miss her dearly.
I love you Aunt Mary. I know you're with my dad and all your other siblings. I know I will see every one of you again. God bless your soul.
