Geletta Corona, age 66, of Sedan, Kansas passed away Saturday, September 8, 2007 at Pleasant Valley Manor in Sedan, Kansas.
She was born September 10, 1940 in Wauneta, Kansas to Raymond Rush and Golda Geletta (Butler) Hardy. She grew up in the Cedar Vale area before moving to California, where she graduated from West Moore High School in Daly City, California. She later attended San Francisco State College. She married Raymond Corona on June 9, 1962. They lived in California until 1996. They later divorced and she moved back to Sedan, Kansas.
She worked as a bank teller at First Interstate Bank, later known as Wells Fargo .
She enjoyed quilting, cooking, reading and doing crossword puzzles.
She is survived by two sons, Russell Corona of Sedan, Kansas and Raymond Corona of Sacramento, California; one daughter, Saundra Roth of Noble, Oklahoma; three sisters, Raemolene Schlib of Palos Verdes Hills, California, Priscilla Straton of Belmont, California and Bonnie Longmore of Idaho and three grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Raymond and Golda.
Friends may call from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., Wednesday, September 12, 2007 at the David W. Barnes Funeral Home in Sedan.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, September 13, 2007 at the First Baptist Church in Sedan with Reverend J. Dean McNamara officiating. Interment will follow at the Round Mound Cemetery located north of Wauneta, Kansas.
The family has suggested memorial contributions to the Sedan Public Library and these remembrances may be left at the funeral home.
