Virginia L. Wilson, 83, of South Coffeyville, OK passed away Tuesday morning, January 19, 2016, at Coffeyville Regional Medical Center.
She was born on January 29, 1932, in Washington County, OK to David L. and Lula B. (Walls) Fishburn. Virginia grew up in the rural Tyro, KS area and attended a rural school east of Caney.
On March 2, 1950, she married Raymond L. Wilson at Tyro, KS. Following their marriage they made their home in Indian Village north of Coffeyville for many years. They later lived in Ponca City, OK and Purdy, MO before moving to South Coffeyville, OK. Her husband preceded her in death on January 7, 2015.
Virginia enjoyed crocheting and loved spending time with her family.
Survivors include two daughters, Lula Bell Rains and husband Will of rural Tyro, and Kathy L. Sharp and husband Raymond of Lenapah, OK; one son, Tom Wilson and wife Deb of rural Coffeyville; one brother, Floyd Fishburn of El Dorado Springs, MO; seven grandchildren, and sixteen great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will take place at a later date at the Cowboy Capital Fellowship in Lenapah, OK, with Justin McKee officiating.
The family suggests memorials to the Cowboy Capital Fellowship; contributions may left with Cowboy Capital Fellowship or mailed c/o David W. Barnes Funeral Home, 306 North Cline Road, Coffeyville, KS 67337.
