Jack M. Bromley, 81, of Coffeyville passed away Thursday, February 11, 2016, at Windsor Place. He was born October 14, 1934, at Treece, KS to Harry M. and Ina L. (Sparks) Bromley. Jack grew up and attended school in Coffeyville graduating from Field Kindley High School. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. On September 27, 1955, he married Karen Fisher at Bartlesville, OK. Following their marriage they made their home in Coffeyville where Jack worked for Sherwin-Williams for 51 years. Jack loved his work, and spending time with his family and friends. He will be remembered for his outgoing and joking personality. Survivors include his wife, Karen of the home; one daughter, Sheri Bromley of Coffeyville; three sons, Michael Bromley, Scott Bromley and Shawn Bromley all of Coffeyville; one brother, Willis Bromley of Coffeyville; one sister, Pat Yates of rural Dearing; thirteen grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; one daughter, Kari Bromley-Hannah, and two brothers, Harry “Jake” Bromley and Richard Bromley. Friends may sign the register book on Wednesday, February 17, 2016 from 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the David W. Barnes Funeral Home. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Following Jack’s wishes cremation has taken place and no service is planned at this time. The family suggests memorials to Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice; contributions may be left with the funeral home or mailed c/o David W. Barnes Funeral Home, 306 North Cline Road, Coffeyville, KS 67337.
