Obituary of Tamara Janice Grier-Jones

Tamara "Tami" Janice Grier-Jones, 56, of Coffeyville, Kansas passed away in her home on February 15, 2016. Tami was born to Benjamin Franklin Grier and Hazel Lucille (Richardson) Grier on October 19, 1959 in Pawhuska, Oklahoma. She attended schools in Hominy and Peru, Oklahoma. She worked at Kopco Inc., did oilfield work and bartended at several different places. She helped a friend with her veterinary business. She enjoyed traveling, camping, riding motorcycles with her brothers and horseback riding. After several back surgeries she settled on staying in touch with family and friends on the computer. She loved spending time with the children in her family. She loved having Kodi, Halie, Katie, Tabby and Little Terry spend the night with her. After living in Peru, Sedan and Caney areas, she moved to Coffeyville to be closer to her brother. She was preceded in death by both parents; brothers, Frank and Duane; sisters, Gloria, Thyra and Sherry. Tami is survived by her brother, Terry Grier and wife, Sheryl of Coffeyville and by many cousins, nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews that she loved very much. She also leaves behind her pet cat of many years, Rabbit. Cremation has taken place under the direction of David W. Barnes Funeral Home in Coffeyville. The family will hold a Memorial Service on March 5, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at the First Assembly of God, 1504 W 8th, Coffeyville, Kansas.
