Obituary of Eunice L. Dunn

Coffeyville - Eunice Lavina "Dunie" Dunn, 85, of South Coffeyville, OK, passed away Saturday night (September 1, 2007) at her home. She was born November 3, 1921 at Coffeyville to Arthur P. and Maude A. (Stevens) Scott. She grew up and attended school in Coffeyville. On November 30, 1939 she married Roy Dunn at Joplin, MO. Following their marriage the made their home in Coffeyville until moving to South Coffeyville, OK in 1969. Mr. Dunn preceded her in death on November 3, 1986. Mrs. Dunn was a homemaker and had worked at Rita's Cafe and Stapleton Products both in Coffeyville. She was an active member of the First Baptist Church in South Coffeyville. Survivors include two daughters, Shirley Franklin of Labette, KS, and Carol Garner of South Coffeyville, OK; one sister, Betty Deardorf of Hemet, CA; six grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and three sisters. A Memorial Service will be at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday (Sept. 4, 2007) in the First Baptist Church in South Coffeyville, with Rev. Fred Lamb officiating. Friends may sign the register book on Monday from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. and Tuesday from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the David W. Barnes Funeral Home in Coffeyville. Cremation has taken place. The family suggests memorials to the First Baptist Church in South Coffeyville, OK, and the South Coffeyville Fire Department or the South Coffeyville Police Department; contributions may be left with the funeral home or mailed c/o David W.
