Obituary of Darreld D. VanTeighen

Darreld D. "Butch" VanTeighen, 65, of Coffeyville passed away Monday, February 29, 2016, at Medicalodges Independence. He was born January 17, 1951 in Coffeyville to Darreld E. and Laura Mae (Andres) VanTeighen. Butch grew up in Coffeyville attending Holy Name Catholic School, and Field Kindley High School graduating in 1969. Butch worked in bridge and road construction for many years until becoming disabled. He loved fishing and watching old western movies. Survivors include two sons, Shawn Mulberry of Parsons, and Michael Mulberry of Springfield, MO; his father, Darreld E. VanTeighen of Coffeyville; and two sisters, Pam Soles of Liberty, and Marcia Scott and husband Randy of Coffeyville. He was preceded in death by his mother, Laura VanTeighen; and one sister, Judy VanTeighen. Following Butch's wishes cremation has taken place. There will be a memorial service at the Fairview Cemetery Veteran's Memorial Patio at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 2, 2016, with Chaplain Mike Graham officiating.
